Meaning - Merlion is the Official Mascot of Singapore.
History - It is Depicted as a Mythical Creature With the Head of a Lion and the Body of a Fish.
This Symbol was Designed by Alec Fraser-Brunner a member of the Souvenir Committee and Curator of the Van Kleef Aquarium. This Logo was used by the Sigapore Tourism Board in use from March 26th 1964 to 1997. Trade Marked in 1966.
